The off-Broadway comedy Around the World in 80 Days, which features five actors playing 39 roles from Jules Verne’s classic adventure novel, will play its final performance on October 13. The show began performances on June 4 and opened on September 17, recently celebrating its 100th performance at the YOW! Theater. All performances scheduled for October 14 and beyond have been cancelled.
Based on a vaudeville-style script by Mark Brown, Around the World in 80 Days is a hilarious take on Jules Verne’s celebrated novel about Phileas Fogg, an explorer who sets out to circumnavigate the world in order to win a bet.
